Last Friday, Kenanga Group sent seven of their staffs for Corporate Volunteering Weekend which was incorporated with YSS-International Students Volunteer Mission to Sabah, 2017.

Seven of them was assigned at Kg Saliwangan located in Beaufort district where they took Sabah locomotive train from Tanjung Aru to the assigned location.

Kenanga Group volunteers spent their weekend with mural painting at SK Biah, Batu 65, and helped taught local schoolchildren especially those who have been having low grades at school.

Some details on the village they were in – Majority of Kg Saliwangan’s community are the Kadazan-Dusun ethnic community. They are local farmers and do off-jobs as source of income.

“This experience is one of the memories we will never ever forget,” said Olivia, Kenanga Group Head of Delegation.

We hope Kenanga Group had a lot of fun doing volunteering work with YSS too!

“We hope their experience with YSS will be able to encourage their involvement in volunteering work in the future,” commented Dato’ Zuraidah Atan, Chairman of Yayasan Sukarelawan Siswa (YSS).

We welcome any corporations who are interested to undergo our Corporate Volunteering Weekend. Because we change people’s hearts, mind and soul beyond borders and we left no one behind in the works of volunteering efforts.
