CONNECT THE UNCONNECTED: CREATIVE, INNOVATIVE AND ADAPTABLE LEADER

Most of us have problems balancing logic with intuition. But the truth is that those difficulty aren’t opposed to one another. Intellect without intuition makes for a smart person without impact and intuition without intellect makes a spontaneous person without direction. To become a great leader, it takes courage as well as creativity, innovative and adaptability. As the main vision of Yayasan Sukarelawan Siswa (YSS) is to produce volunteer icons or global volunteer leaders, they must equip themselves with these three attribute. Creativity is a calling. Innovation is a burning desire. Adaptability is personal trait.

Creative leadership allows leaders to move into a new direction, and creative leadership is desirable due to the ability to generate novel and useful ideas. And creativity takes practice and creative leadership has very little to do with personal creativity and everything has to do with teamwork creativity. Tapping into the cumulative creativity of 10 or 100 or 1000 people will clearly result in better results than tapping into the creativity of one person, no matter how creative you are, and ignoring everyone else mind perspective.

And YSS indeed the best platform for the student leaders to build the creative, innovative and adaptable leader. It indeed reflects to the volunteer leaders in Kampung Beladin, Pusar, Bahagian Betung Sarawak, because we have to make a vast and calculative decision and yet absorb all the information given.
