International Intern

Yayasan Sukarelawan Siswa (YSS) / Student Volunteers Foundation Malaysia 🇲🇾 is pleased to welcome our latest international intern, Ms Noelle Skillings (Noelle) from Canada 🇨🇦 who will join our existing Malaysian interns and Management Trainees at our YSS HQ, Ministry of Education Malaysia.

Noelle is a fourth-year Sociology major student at the University of Victoria, Canada 🇨🇦. She previously was an intern at Restorative Justice Victoria (RJV) and Victoria International Development Education Association (VIDEA), Canada. She was also a volunteer intern at the Students for Global Democracy Uganda (SGDU) for three months in 2017.

Noelle will be at YSS HQ, Putrajaya until end of December 2018.

“Selamat Datang, Noelle!”

As part of the internationalisation of YSS under the New Beginning Strategy, YSS has been accepting international interns. Previously, two students from Brunei , two students from Thailand and one from Vietnam for attachment, have joined YSS Dream Team ( our staff are called this_).

Internationalisation of YSS is commonly associated with global engagement and student mobility represents added dimension in the internationalisation process towards YSS’ desire to build Global Volunteer Icons or Volunteer Leaders.

Global engagement via volunteerism presents the new yardstick in measuring efforts for the global youth volunteer network. The global volunteers apply their experience (experiential learning) to facilitate or to enhance further the sustainable and transformative development of world community and shaping new minds.

YSS looks forward to more international and local interns! For those interested, please write to

Thank you.
