MESSAGE FROM CHAIRMAN
YAYASAN SUKARELAWAN SISWA

In conjunction with the 7th anniversary of YSS, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have helped the foundation all these years especially 1115 YSS Alumni who continued to support our programmes and brought us to greater heights today.

It is very uplifting to see how the lives of these young people have changed when they joined YSS. They have actually become the changemakers and torch bearers of the society through their works under YSS.

YSS’ efforts in grooming student volunteers based on its positive values have a great impact on society as a whole since its inception in 2012. Keeping that in mind, I aspire YSS to continue changing the lives of young people so that they could contribute more to the community, locally and abroad. Its capacity-building effort must continue as it is an essential part in nation-building process.

Young people are our future flag bearers. They are our national asset who can help shape the destiny of our nation. Good moral and ethical values will be given the highest priority in all character and nation-building initiatives under YSS Student Volunteers programme.

It is my sincere hope to see YSS Alumni playing their role effectively, either individually or collectively, to help nurture a caring culture that will help create a caring society and form a united and harmonious nation.

Last but not least, I wish you all the best and hope that we can work together in a true YSS family spirit in the upcoming events.
